The biggest mayfly is hatching these days, and I will for sure do what I can to be at the spot when the mayfly-dance is taking place.

Easter fishing can be beautiful and provoking
The day looked promising with warm and beautiful weather and almost no wind. This fantastic Easter day my friend Kristian and I went to the coast outside Brevik for fishing sea trout. The fishing did seem to be promising until we realized that the difference between low and high water (tides) was almost like zero. It also occurred that the rest of Norway`s population was celebrating Easter along the shoreline – something that gave us a good laugh, but mostly provoking moments. Because these owners of valuable cottages seem to have no respect for “lower life” like us fly fishermen. They were driving boats like crazy only 15 feet’s from our rod tippets, and setting nets not more then seven feet’s from us – and then asking if we caught fish. Yeah, right!!!
Anyway did Kristian catch two nice silver shining trout around 0,8 kg. I had one of my worst days when it comes to hooking fish – 6 strikes – no landed fish.

This fishing day had nice weather and almost no wind. I saw a lot of fish rising gently to the surface, just like mosquito feeding char in Troms. I only had half day fishing, but did still hook five silver shining sea trout (they are still swimming around). I’ll be back!!!
